Vastu (Vasthu) Shastra ArchitectureAncient Indian Architectural traditions hold that a building is a living organism and can be designed in harmonic resonance with the underlying energy structure of the universe. Such a building becomes a generator of coherence, attuning the occupants to the universal laws and increasing health, wealth and spiritual well being.Michael Borden has a Masters degree in Architecture. He studied the science of Vasthu Shastra Architecture in India with Dr. V. Ganapati Sthapati, one of India’s most renowned temple architects, and has built structures according to these principles. VastuVed was founded by Michael Borden in 1998 for the purpose of promoting Vasthu Ved and educating designers, architects, builders and homeowners in the potential of a more comfortable, happy and successful life lived in harmony through the principles of Vasthu Shastra. He comes from a family of builders, with over 20 years experience building and/or designing custom residences in California and the Midwest. He is currently involved in Vasthu building/design projects including a temple complex in Iowa, and industrial and residential projects in China. The principles of Vasthu shastra science that have been used in designing India’s great and sacred temples can be applied to any building projectm whether home or industry. Michael has applied these Vastu principles in designs from cottages to palaces, in schools and office buildings.
